There is a non fuming mineral spirits that you can try. Put a little on a cloth and test a small portion of the table. There are also solvents you can buy from your local hardware or lumber store.

water and ammonia equal parts, frombys has a cleaner for this

I use Goo Gone on all kinds of Goo and it’s just Gone! it works, give it a try. You can buy it at Walmart, Lowes or Target. Greg

this is a hand cleaner but it will do the job look for Goop it is a hand cleaner the consistency of hand lotion spread it on with your hands work the bad spots let it on for about 15 seconds the wipe off with paper towels if that does not work reapply and leave on longer you can also use some 4o steel wool good luck
