I went through the same thing a few months ago but with my son who is still young enough to have accidents. I had to throw it away because I couldn’t figure out how to clean it. It is like a giant sponge! I hope you had better luck than I did.

there is a product called urine gone at pet store. Also, odor rid from QVC to put on exact source of odor….
They can’t be cleaned since they are a giant sponge. I had a pillow made of the same material. It stated it could be washed. It became a 50 pound sponge with no way to handle it. I can’t imagine any way to clean a mattress.
I would try a steam clean on it before throwing it away.
I don’t really know but, what I would try is to moisten the area with a cleaner and water. Then, I would tip or lean the mattress over so gravity takes affect and use a shop vac to pull out the cat urine. Repeat a few times then use some odor killer from a pet store or such. I dread this ever happening to our same type of mattress. If it ever does this is what I will try before disposing of it. Good luck!!
Wash the cat…throw away the mattress.
I would try a carpet type cleaner. Anything that can spray a cleaner and has a suction. Then I would use a Odor Gone or OxyClean to make sure the odor is gone and that your friendly kitty will be less likely to use your mattress as a kitty box. Hope this helps you out. If you have any other conserns try calling the manufactures.
you can try this, sprinkle dry borax on the wet spot, rub it in, let it dry, and vacuum out. if this doesn’t work then sorry you have to replace it
I can only suggest that you call the manufacturer and ask them how to do it. I am not familiar with the Memory Foam, so I wouldn’t take a chance, doing the wrong thing. A shirt of jacket is one thing, but a mattress, Well that’s another thing .
